Kollar closed out New York Fashion Week Men’s Autumn/Winter 2020 as one of the last runway shows of the evening last night. Hosted in 393nyc, the show kicked off with a chilled out cocktail hour where all the guests could flow in, take pre-show pics on the runway, chat it up and of course, enjoy the open bar. Then the lights dimmed and a smokey haze went up. The Kollar male models came stepping out strong, demanding the audience’s attention and leaving heads turning back with each passing piece of the collection. Kollar definitely gives you more edge than some other brands and borders on grungy in an appealing way with some of the looks. Kollar blends traditional streetwear with high-end refinery in the designs. This was highlighted with the very dramatic make-up and hair on the models. If you’re anti-conformity and want to refuse “normal” this avantstreet, Canadian fashion line is for you!

As an extra perk to the show, all the guests received a gift bag full of goodies easily considered fashion week essentials. Each item was from a different beauty brand. They included boxed coconut water, curly hair care products from Pink Root, a turmeric and carrot paste skin-glow face mask from CLN & DRTY, natural deodorant from Piper Wai and a pair of Flashpatch under eye gel patches from Patchology.

NYFW Men’s flew by so quickly over the three days of shows but we’re looking forward to the NYFW Women’s shows, which we started today with Fashion Hong Kong and NYFW ASC events.
