Some of the best moments happen spontaneously and unplanned! This was Miami Swim Week for E&G!

The Fall 2023 Fashion Week run was definitely on the calendar but Miami Swim Week was not included because, as per usual, something else was on the calendar at the same time. Universe has other plans and fun ones at that. The whole thing was set in motion by a nudge via email from our friends at Savory PR and Designing The District. Grateful to receive the invitation and see our relationships grow from New York Fashion Week to other events such as this, plans were made. With some wiggle and flex, timelines were adjusted and travel booked from the happenings in South America with the upcoming E&G Fashion House x RbD Music Group merch collection back to the happenings in the United States. This time, Miami, Florida and what an experience it was! Definitely not one to be missed. This was E&G Fashion Media’s first time making out to Miami Swim Week. Fingers-crossed it will not be the last.

Upon landing the big question was…what do we wear to Miami Swim Week? How does one show up to their first Miami Swim Week? The solution was to quickly get to know the 8-block shopping strip that is Lincoln Road in South Beach and it was handled. Check out the E&G Fashion Instagram to see the fits. Sadly, there was no time to link up with designers to wear any of their collections at these shows. But as would happen as any great event, networking was done and connections were made to wear some upcoming items from designers whose collections were on display at the next New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. Can’t wait to show you what happens with that in the future.

Before the events kicked off, there was fun in the sun with two massive model calls on a roof deck and the beach. And, everyday after that there was more beach time before the shows at the Playa Vogue Beach Club. To top it off, each day after the model calls and the Miami Swim Week kick-off parties on the Fourth of July, there were other day time events happening before the evening Art Hearts Fashion shows and the daily after parties. Plenty to choose from, not nearly enough time to take it all in!

The shows were full of sauce and steam with everyone dripping their best bodies in some of the hottest beachwear collections down the runway each night. It was fire! That, on top of the music, the VIP section with an open art gallery and the different cocktail stands tempting all of us for more. By the time we made it to the closing dinner and show at KiKi On The Beach, we were falling into our seats, drunk on all the fun and good times, trying to slow down and so happy we made it through the week. Secretly, I think we were ready for more by the end just for the mere fact we made that far. More we shall have at the next set of shows…(Copenhagen and Stockholm Fashion Week are up, which we may attend digitally or physically—we’ll see!) the Big 4 Fashion Weeks start in New York in September 2023.
