Aritzia & JustFab Got Us Together for "2024"

Hey Fashionistas!

Happy Stylish Sunday! So much styling has been happening and so little has been shared with you, so it’s time to catch up—and yes, again…because a catch up is needed often…

Although, we’ve moved on from 2024, the style from “2024”, the music video and other music visuals are still ringing through in 2025. And it’s actually a style you could go pick up at the mall right now. Things were kept simple out of mere circumstance. Here’s the back story:

Originally, all the visuals were supposed to be done in Chinatown, Manhattan, New York City. The look for the Chinatown seems were a world away from what actually came to life in the visuals shared. The situation changed around the music release and the location changed too as a result.

The lyric video was filmed as this really picturesque southern rail road station with one of the signature Sounds of Maria album music styles, an open back dress. The dress was a forest green color and draped from shoulder to floor with the only attachment being fabric loop through a silver ring on the side of the dress. Chopsticks and 2024 sunglasses were the accessories and make the look in lyric video pop.

The railroad scene is used in the music video as well but the rest of the music video was filmed and styled in Toronto at the Music Garden and Graffiti Alley. Thigh high, fire engine red boots from JustFab were paired with a champagne gold cocktail bandage dress from Aritzia to make the body the highlight in the scenes at the Music Garden. Dragon body are on the chest was the only accessory here aside from a suede wool jacket to shield from the wintery weather at night since this was part of the filming happened at night. There is a library scene that was filmed with a vintage knit Rock & Love cardigan and a Gucci scarf over jeans and dark grey JustFab combat boots to give off that dark librarian look to open the video. Those same boots from JustFab were kept for the Graffiti Alley dance scenes but matched this time with a bikini top over more dragon body art down the torso and arms covered slightly by a black leather biker jacket over rocker style dark grey jeans. The look is fierce! From one scene to the next you can see the switch between Inner Dragon and Goddess that reflects in the dialogue and music in the song “2024” itself.

Couldn’t have pulled it off without being able to walk right into Aritzia and find dress styles galore that weren’t even thought of for this style before seeing them…and without JustFab being fabulous in their boot collections!
